Chopped Up Project

I was inspired by first the wonderful amplification of the wah wah pedal and the Doctor Who theme song.... (if you have not ever heard the Doctor Who theme song listen to it...) as heard in the bass line. The drum through out mostly stays the same to keep the tempo through the whole thing. For chopping i used 6 (2) and dreams to get the more upbeat quick notes instead of the long dragging notes that the other chopping stations give you. I used FPC, Slayer (Wah Wah), and Slayer (BassAucostic) all found in the channel pull down. Also the rift machine is helpful in the beginning but its more fun to tweak it after and make it original and not one that others can get. The transpose is from the first pattern the notes are defiantly of higher pitch to pattern two which is of lower pitch to show the change in music, also to not keep the whole piece the same. The two things that transposed where the Bass Acoustic and the Wah Wah pedal, in the second pattern which was put to a lower pitch to give the music some change, other than chopping.

Contrasted Drum Patteren

For the first project, the contrast drum loop. i created a easy going piece inspired by New Orleans Blues and African Tribal beats. For the first pattern i used ride for the base beat one every 1st beat, and on the final 4th beat in the 4th measure. I also used a kick and a stick to keep the music flow moving. I repeated this two more times for 4 measures, then created the first drum fill of 2 for this project to use as a transition. Which the base is 16th notes for the first and third measure, and a tom two and third beat of the first and third measure. Then a pedal ever 3rd beat to keep the beat up. The third pattern i used a stick for the base, every 1st beat. This measure is a little faster, in contrast to the slower 2nd pattern. With most of the instruments falling on the same beat. Then I finally ended with one more drum fill, which is the same beat as pattern 3, but ends with a cymbal crash. I found all of my loops in the browse section of FL Studio under the drum packs.
