Project 6, A Children's Lulliby
In this project, we had to create a song, using just the C chord. This project, I learned how to play C chords, and how to make a smooth transition between each chord progression. After creating three patterns using just C chords, and transitions in Sytrus. I created the base again using only C key in FL Slayer. This by itself was tricky. Wanting to not upset the almost magical Chord Progression Pattern and having to just use C. In the end i decided one one pluck sound every time the chords change. After the first pattern, the base would also go up an octave with the chords. So the sound of the gentle almost kick sound would not be out of place. Enjoy.
If Native American's had Homemade Synths/ Project 5
Project 5. It may of taken me a month but i finally have it down. Silly melodies kept messing me up. Project 5 is all about creating synths from scratch. Meaning using default on Sytrus and building your synth from there. From there you can make the synth sound how ever you want it to sound like. For me I choice to make my volume synth to sound like a flute and the pitch synth to mimic that. Using the first operator tab and making the volume line increase at a steady rate then put a decay on the end of it to make it just kind of slowly die out. After I created my pitch synth, which was created so it would almost parrot the volume synth just at a lower octave. Making the synth like a repeating round. The drums i made to be a gentle, to go with the rest of the song, so they would not take over the song.

This One Goes Up To 11
For project 4 everyone once they got there had to create a piece of music, which incorporate a filter (Fruity Filter) and a X-Y Controller. After creating the actual song which the filter and controller would be manipulating, I used the Fruity filter on the Default synth to give it a edgier tone, and to filter out the volume control to keep the synth more on the quieter sound. After that I used the X-Y Controller on the second synth, to control the master volume of that synth. The master volume and X-Y controller are linked to the X-Y controller which, I used to control how loud the music got, and i kept the second synth on the low side also. I also threw in a Fruity Blood as a high pass filter, making it so the higher notes would not play through the synth. For this project i just used basic sim Synths, for drums i used, FLS Kick, Clap, Hat Top, and Snare. Found in the browser section, under drum packs. For my base i used a created synth base, with a high pass filter on it. Then the final thing i used in this project is a master volume to finish the project into a slow percussion fade.

Automation & SVF Project
For this project i was inspired by the theme songs we all listened to when we where little, such repetitive theme songs such as the Mario Brothers, Metroid, Mega-Man, Frogger, Pac-Man. And what do all of these games have in common with music tech. projects you may ask? well they all have catchy theme songs which start off slower but as the action increases the music tempo and volume increases, or when you die, the music sound changes. That is what i wanted to capture in my music project, this catchy theme song that almost peaks and descends with the tempo and volume. For my first pattern i used FPC for drums creating my own beat with a repetitive kick and stick tap which continues through the whole project. I also used Sim Synth for my guitar, (which is also where i got my SVF, which is emphasis on the Sim Synth Guitar) which is a the same beat in pattern 1 and 2, but just there is a note scale change. For base I used slayer BASS Punch, and used it to reinforce the first two notes of every measure in the first pattern. Then for the second pattern i used the base to reinforce every single Guitar note, with base. For my automation clip I used both tempo, starting the project off slowly then when it hits the second pattern to have a tempo of 180, and then slowly decrease after the second pattern is done. The other automation clip i used was the master volume, which i did the same as i did with the tempo automation, the build up of volume then decrease of volume to a fade at the end. For the SVF (State Variable Filter) i used emphasis from Sim Synth, to but emphasis on the first Guitar sound on Pattern 2, to almost introduce this new pattern with a loud wah. Then i finally added a final fade to all effects at the end to slowly let the music end, like the final credits in any game.

Chopped Up Project
I was inspired by first the wonderful amplification of the wah wah pedal and the Doctor Who theme song.... (if you have not ever heard the Doctor Who theme song listen to it...) as heard in the bass line. The drum through out mostly stays the same to keep the tempo through the whole thing. For chopping i used 6 (2) and dreams to get the more upbeat quick notes instead of the long dragging notes that the other chopping stations give you. I used FPC, Slayer (Wah Wah), and Slayer (BassAucostic) all found in the channel pull down. Also the rift machine is helpful in the beginning but its more fun to tweak it after and make it original and not one that others can get. The transpose is from the first pattern the notes are defiantly of higher pitch to pattern two which is of lower pitch to show the change in music, also to not keep the whole piece the same. The two things that transposed where the Bass Acoustic and the Wah Wah pedal, in the second pattern which was put to a lower pitch to give the music some change, other than chopping.

Contrasted Drum Patteren
For the first project, the contrast drum loop. i created a easy going piece inspired by New Orleans Blues and African Tribal beats. For the first pattern i used ride for the base beat one every 1st beat, and on the final 4th beat in the 4th measure. I also used a kick and a stick to keep the music flow moving. I repeated this two more times for 4 measures, then created the first drum fill of 2 for this project to use as a transition. Which the base is 16th notes for the first and third measure, and a tom two and third beat of the first and third measure. Then a pedal ever 3rd beat to keep the beat up. The third pattern i used a stick for the base, every 1st beat. This measure is a little faster, in contrast to the slower 2nd pattern. With most of the instruments falling on the same beat. Then I finally ended with one more drum fill, which is the same beat as pattern 3, but ends with a cymbal crash. I found all of my loops in the browse section of FL Studio under the drum packs.
